Lord of the Nile
Prequel to The Lost Goddess

Hello. I am Karissa Spencer, a fairly well-known artist who has made her name by sculpting cats. House cats, tigers, lions--but most of all sleek black panthers. I am driven to mold this beautiful black animal. Why? Because when I was a teenager, I saw my father killed in an Egyptian temple, while a huge black panther watched, his tail flicking across the sand. And ever since, I can't get the image out of my mind.

Although I have a photographic memory, I cannot for the life of me remember anything else that occurred on that fateful day. Many psychiatrists have tried to draw it out, but it lies hidden.

And now, a sensual, attractive Egyptian man dressed entirely in black along with his huge feline companion has come to my studio to ask me to help him find the long-lost temple where my father was killed. Why should I help him? Can I trust him?

Yet those eyes...those intense golden eyes draw me in...
